VitaOx Complex - Q & A

How do I apply VitaOx Complex?

Shake occasionally. Apply to clean skin twice a day or as needed. For best results, use while your skin is still slightly moist from washing and apply before any other skin care products. Use immediately after sun exposure. You may experience some tingling sensation.

Can I use VitaOx Complex along with my regular skin care products?
Yes, you can. We recommend that you apply VitaOx after washing and prior to applying other skin care products.

Are the ingredients all natural?
Yes.

Will VitaOx work on all colors and skin types?
Yes.

Can I use VitaOx around my eyes?
Yes. VitaOx can help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles around the eye. Softly massage VitaOx into the skin covering the orbital bone around the eye. Do not apply VitaOx directly underneath the eye or on top of the eyelid where it could enter the eye itself.

Why use VitaOx when I already take antioxidant supplements?
Our skin is our body's first line of defense from harmful external forces such as UV rays, chemicals, and pollutants (and our most visible sign of aging). VitaOx Complex is designed to supply antioxidants and nutrients directly to our skin for optimal repair and protection of this vital organ.

How can I use VitaOx to prevent skin damage due to sun overexposure or photoaging?
Several components in the VitaOx network of antioxidants have been shown to help prevent and repair sun damage to the skin. Some of these are:

Vitamin C
Topical vitamin C can prevent the consequences of prolonged sun exposure which can lead to skin cancer. A recent study showed that by applying topical vitamin C to human skin, 15 to 30 minutes after UV exposure, sunburn cells decreased and repair work began on the damaged skin. 1

Vitamin E
When combined with vitamin C, both vitamins create a highly protective lotion against sun damage. New laboratory research has shown that as an antioxidant, vitamin E helps inactivate free radicals. There have also been numerous studies that show that topical natural vitamin E, also called d-alpha-tocopherol, reduces sunburn cell production, chronic UV-induced damage and the production of cancer causing cells. 1

Selenium
Selenium activates an antioxidant enzyme called glutathione peroxidase, which may help protect the body from cancer. Selenium enhances the antioxidant effect of vitamin E. Recent studies have found that when taken orally or applied topically in the form L-selenomethionine, selenium demonstrated protection against both daily and excessive UV damage, with less burning after exposure. The study also showed that there was a delay in the onset, and a decrease in the incidence, of skin cancer. 1

I have heard that Vitamin C breaks down over time in liquid form. Is the Vitamin C in VitaOx stable?
Yes. VitaOx Complex's special Vitamin C formulation is stable and is designed not to degrade over time. VitaOx Complex contains 3 powerful C Vitamins forming Vitamin Tri-C (Ascorbyl Palmitate, Sodium Ascorbyl Palmitate, & Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate). Both Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate and Ascorbyl Palmitate are oil soluble, meaning they do not degrade over time. Sodium Ascorbyl Palmitate is water soluble, but is buffered to the proper pH balance that does not degrade.

Does VitaOx contain any sunscreen?
No, VitaOx contains no sunscreen.

Sometimes I notice a slight vitamin smell, is this normal?
Yes. VitaOx does have a light natural scent.

VitaOx is all natural and contains numerous vitamins and anti-oxidants. It is basically vitamins for your skin. If you've ever opened a bottle of natural vitamins, no doubt you've noticed a vitamin scent. During the development of VitaOx, a great deal of time was spent adjusting the formula to reduce the smell of the natural vitamins without jeopardizing the integrity of the antioxidant power in VitaOx.

Are there any animal-based ingredients contained in VitaOx?
